The Purpose Behind 3R Studios: Where Stories Live

3R platform for original storytelling and artistic process documentation

What started with behind-the-scenes interviews became a mission to archive and elevate creative culture.

Watching behind-the-scenes of movies and interviews of directors always intrigued us.

There’s a rhythm behind the work, behind the lens, that shapes the creativity and final outcome of a film. Sometimes artists and creatives document their process, and other times, they forget or neglect to record a thing.

When we started filming the work in the Vault Series over the past few years, it became clear how valuable it is to capture people’s flow, methods, and mindset. At the indie level, these glimpses into process aren’t just interesting but necessary. They reveal the unseen parts of creation and showed us how artists think, not just what they make.

That’s the foundation 3R was built on: documenting process and sharing perspective. The moments we capture aren’t just about inspiration. They connect people to the how, not just the what. When you watch someone create, you see their rhythm. When artists share that rhythm, it motivates others to explore their own.

But 3R isn’t just about documenting what’s already happening.

There’s a hunger for original programming and stories. For local voices. See, Hollywood has had it’s run but what if we built a platform for our own local Hollywood? One that reflects the depth, diversity, and creative brilliance in our own communities?

The purpose of 3R is simple:

to become a sort-of independent Netflix; highlighting community in a way that no one has ever done LOCALLY before.

We take artists seriously. We spotlight their ideas like mini features, capturing their rhythm, process, and truth. It’s taking artists around us and capturing them like movie stars. 3R is supported by a collective of artists brainstorming, writing, and creating behind the scenes. While documentation is the foundation, creation is the evolution. We as artists also want to entertain and create with a sense of exploration, that’s where projects like Burnt Toast and Finding Rhythm come in.

3R is going to be that platform you’ll see your favorite local artist on. A community holding onto the importance of creating original work in a day of copy-cats. A place that celebrates voices often overlooked.

Our 1st screening on August 17 has that goal in mind.

“It’s the place where stories live and where my people can shine.”
