EPIC 3R Launch Pad: ‘Gettin’ LOUD’ at Loud Garden Festival
I’m all for dramatic entrances and solid first introductions.
After all, the first impression is extremely important when it comes to many things. I believe that to be true for any sort of announcement or release too. The first round of visuals, sounds, or experience that’s brought to the table will usually effect whether or not someone will stick around for more.
3R had it’s soft digital launch on July 1st, 2025.
The first impression was a bit weak.
I announced it with some cute visuals, light work on my end, but the concept of 3R was brewing up behind the scenes for some time. After testing out what 3R could be in different event spaces, I finally decided to pull the trigger on a digital launch; securing the name of social platforms, a domain, the usual steps.
It felt like the start of something great.
As I was scrolling and updating myself on any events or things going on that I could get involved in, I stumbled upon a flyer.
LOUD GARDEN MUSIC FESTIVAL. JULY 19. Created by Sound Society. (Plus a ton of sponsors, I can’t name them all but shout out to MMFB)
It had a lineup of artists, some which I knew and even shot with before, but many I didn’t recognize. Vendors, DJs, food, it was advertised as a music festival and taking place in Lincoln Park, right in my hometown.
OneDay taken on a drone for our festival promotion.
I immediately got excited and curious. WHAT’S SOUND SOCIETY? Who is hosting this festival? HOW DIDN’T I KNOW ABOUT THEM?
We’ll pick up on that in a bit but I want to paint a clearer picture about how 3R came to be and what it is.
You see, I’m a person with way too many ideas…
All these ideas have spread across the web in different mediums, collaborations, formats, spaces, and I felt the urge to bring everything all back together under one umbrella. This work of mine I speak of consisted mainly of incredible documentary work and interviews. I felt it could all be revisited and repackaged into more digestible content.
The content became apart of what I call the ‘Vault Series’,
content dead on the web but to me held a lot of value. These videos shared artists thought processes, belief systems in how they created, actual notes on executing in different mediums, and more. I felt there were rich lessons and words in this past work of mine that could be reshared.
That along with my book, the Rhythm of Doing, and my soundscape project Root, I felt I had enough ideas to launch something that combined everything I’ve done so far and the new work I’m producing now.
Thus, 3R was born.
It was born out of a demand for continued independency; a mission to build a sort of independent Netflix and continue spotlighting the voices of the creatives around me.
Great ideas sat in the foundation of past projects.
From my book, the Rhythm of Doing, I came up with a visual series, Finding Rhythm, that expands upon the lessons taught in the book. The series explores other peoples rhythms, processes, and flow. From my sound/meditation project Root, I decided to use another definition of the word and develop long-form documentaries that get to the root of a subject/topic. All this powered by my knowledge in production, my supportive team of creatives, and fostered by my video production business ROQ.
And that’s the three R’s right there. Rhythm, Root, ROQ.
3R is a platform rooted in deep creative flows and solid in it’s foundation. My mission is always the same too… to create with others and have a damn good time doing it!
Going back to the Loud Garden Music Festival, once I stumbled upon IT… I knew I had to be apart of it.
I connected to the host of the festival OneDay. When we spoke in-person he immediately reminded me of myself; a one-man band getting a lot of sh*t done but actually excelling and delegating pretty well.
Needless to say, the first impression? I was certainly impressed; and I believe so was he. We connected further and I agreed to be a media sponsor for the event. This gave me the opportunity to be apart of something big + have the festival be the official launch pad for 3R.
This took an incredible amount of work but ultimately it was worth it; to pop-up in a park that I grew up at, connect with the community with my new brand, and direct the official visuals that come out of the festival, solidifying 3R as a story telling platform?!
It was hard not to be down for the cause.
When you take big leaps of faith, there’s usually a decent pay off. This time around, 3R got on the map in a powerful way just 19 days into it’s launch and now, we’re about to rollout some incredible visuals for the festival too.
There’s so much in development…
and I’m excited to be working on new projects while continuing to share the Vault Series. I have big hopes and dreams for this. It’s going to be a lot of hard work, but then again, what dreams aren’t?
The Finding Rhythm and Root series will have official releases in September along with our original comedy series Burnt Toast, written alongside Jordan Froce.
Thanks for reading and being apart of the journey. I hope the work that we share connects with you; makes you smile, laugh, learn, cry, all the emotions!
Daily thoughts will be shared on the blog as we progress..
The Loud Garden Festival was nuts so I should probably recap that… we’ll see.
