Rashad Wright

Rashad Wright is a performance artist, author, and the former Poet Laureate of Jersey City. He is the author of the memoir Romeo’s Whiskey & Papa's Tango. A former US National Guard infantryman who enlisted to fund his Creative Writing degree, Rashad juxtaposes poetry, theatre, and music to provide visibility for human vulnerabilities. He has shared stages with Grammy Award-winning artists.
